NUSA DUA – Jonathan Christie failed to clash with Anders Antonsen in the quarter-finals Indonesia Open 2021 . The Danish badminton player is known to have a chest muscle injury.

Jojo, nickname Jonatan , actually clashed with Antonsen in the quarter-finals, Friday (26/11/2021). However, the match was canceled after Antonsen announced his withdrawal from the tournament.

Jonatan Christie regretted the cancellation of the quarter-finals of the Indonesia Open 2021 against Antonsen. Moreover, Jonathan himself had prepared for the match with great enthusiasm.

Even though he failed to fight against Antonsen, the badminton player who was born on September 15, 1997 is still grateful to be able to advance to the semifinals. He even hoped that Antonsen would quickly recover from his current condition.

“For sure, thank God I was able to qualify for my first semifinal at the Indonesia Open tournament,” said Jonatan at the Bali International Convention Center, Friday (11/26/2021).

“Unfortunately, Antonsen has withdrawn. I hope that if there is something that makes him resign, I wish him a speedy recovery,” he continued.

The last match between Jonathan and Antonsen occurred during the 2020 Thomas Cup semifinal match in Aarhus, Denmark. At that time Jonathan was able to overcome Antonsen’s resistance through a long battle for 100 minutes with a score of 25-23, 15-21, 21-16.

Meanwhile, in the meeting record, outside of today‘s match, Jonathan is 5-3 ahead of Antonsen. During those eight matches, six of them lasted long with rubber games.
