It seems almost everyone wants Archie Manning, but it looks like there are only a handful of teams whose quarterbacks are really interested.
Top quarterback in 2023 recruiting class opens up to On3’s Sam Spiegelman about his commitment to leading schools where he could make official visits and two SEC plans to try to make up ground .
Arch Manning has a few different schools that he’s clearly interested in, two of which are surprising, all things considered.
Manning is following the Georgia Bulldogs, Alabama Crimson Tide and Texas Longhorns, which shouldn’t come as a shock to anyone. These programs have all been associated with Manning for some time.
However, it’s fascinating news that the Florida Gators and LSU Tigers are getting some consideration.
Georgia, Texas and Alabama are Arch Manning favorites, but LSU and Florida want to remain in competition for class of 2023 best recruit
While Florida State and LSU are famous programs that anyone is lucky enough to play in, neither seems to be that consistent in recent years, and as a result, they have a brand new head coach.
“I’ve had several conversations with Florida. I’ve heard a lot of good things about coach (Billy) Napier, so I might want to go and see what they’re all about,” Manning told Spiegelman .
But Manning cited the two new head coaches, Billy Napier and Brian Kelly, as reasons for his interest in visiting Florida and LSU.
“Coach (Brian) Kelly knows how to win,” Manning said. “He wins almost everywhere he goes.”
Manning, a native of New Orleans, will be a LSU superstar, while Napier spent the past few years in Louisiana before heading to Florida.
It remains to be seen where the young quarterback will end up. It’s safe to say he’ll almost certainly be a starter wherever he goes, and of course there are plenty of schools looking to lure him.
