Annie, a Russian beauty, has forayed into many fields in the entertainment industry. Recently, she was invited to speak at the second “TEDxLinkou”. The title was “Step by Step”. He gave a speech in English. He shared his life story. In the end, she miraculously recovered, and she gradually recovered after six months of treatment in the hospital. This period of illness also made her realize that “living is the greatest gift”, and she knows how to cherish life and not waste every minute.
At age 13, Annie became infected with meningococcal bacteria that could have been fatal. During her 4 days in a coma, her condition was not optimistic. The doctor told her family that even if she woke up, she might be in a vegetative state. It was a long and difficult recovery period. During the half year of hospitalization, she received injections and medicines every day. After Zhou was discharged from the hospital, he still had to return to the clinic regularly until he was 27, and he had been treated for 14 years for his illness.
When she was only 13 years old, Annie once felt that it was unfair and why she had to face and bear the burden, but on the other hand, it gave her a lot of time to think about life, Said, leave the hospital later, go to learning, no matter what you do, you must be very serious and not waste any time.” Do everything with a daring attitude. Annie admits that sometimes she is lazy and wants to escape, “But I thought, when I’m 80 years old, my physical strength won’t be enough, do you regret not doing it?” This is the “80-year-old rule” theory that Annie’s 80-year-old grandmother told her, “Grandma often flips through photo albums and tells me that the only thing in this world that can be taken away is memories.
Like her preparation for this speech, Annie said that when she received the speech invitation, she found an American teacher to take online classes a month before to fully present her English speech on stage, “I Afraid my head would explode. Stay blank, so that whatever happens, you’ll never forget it.” Sure enough, his fluent speech drew applause from the audience.
This is Annie’s 12th year in Taiwan, and also the 12th selection of Yilin Bright Star.
