Dead Space Remake launches on January 27th. The developer confirmed the release time in today’s development stream. The game reboots the Dead Space series while building on older games.

Publisher Electronic Arts had internally planned to launch Dead Space Remake in October. But the development team decided to take a few more months. Meanwhile, EA didn’t launch the game out of its fiscal year.

In its earnings report earlier this week, EA confirmed that it will have a “remake” in the fiscal fourth quarter ending March 2023. But the company also plans to launch “major IP” during the quarter. The game is a sequel to Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, a sequel to Fallen Order, according to multiple people familiar with EA’s plans.

Launching both games before the end of the fiscal year makes sense, as the company doesn’t have many new titles for the rest of 2022.

Motive also plans to release gameplay in October.
