Ex-Navy Veteran Was Inappropriately Assaulted in the Choya Incident in Koreatown, Los Angeles

The LAPD notes that the crime captured on video occurred at approximately 1:45 p.m. on Tuesday, June 21, at the intersection of Wilshire Boulevard and Vermont Boulevard in Los Angeles, and was part of a bus stop outside Chipotle, Koreatown. A man sitting on the bench of the bus suddenly attacked the Asian man for no reason.

Los Angeles Police Department spokesman Drake Madison told CNS the suspect was sitting on the bench of the bus while the victim stood about six feet away from him. The man suddenly approaches the victim and hits him hard. The video showed the suspect being punched in the face, causing him to fall to the ground. The injured youth also fell unconscious and was released after treatment in the hospital.

Madison said the suspect remains at large, describing him only as a man. But from the related video this newspaper seems to be a strong African American.
