Fire engulfs apartment and business buildings near Koreatown

Fire engulfed a commercial building in Koreatown on Friday morning, in what appears to be not the first time the building has burned down.

Around 5 a.m., over Sky5, flames pass through the roofs of buildings on Vermont Avenue between West 2nd and 3rd street.

The video also showed flames and embers flying several feet into the air from the ignited palm.

City of Los Angeles firefighters are at the scene trying to put out the blaze.

Parts of the building that did not burn appear to have been damaged by past fires.

Several businesses and a large apartment building were located near the fire but did not appear to have been damaged by the fire.

It is unclear if anyone was injured in the fire.

There was also no immediate indication of what caused the blaze.
