Marseille is in 3rd place in Group E with four points, and failed to reach the last 16 with one game remaining. Galatasaray have the opportunity to qualify for the last 16 after topping the standings with 11 points accompanied by Lazio who are perched below with eight points. Meanwhile, Marseille Lokomotiv Moscow caretaker with two points.
The leader of the standings gets an automatic ticket to the round of 16 while the runners-up will have a play-off match against the 3rd place in the 2021/2022 Champions League group. The winner of Group E will be determined on matchday 6 between Lazio vs Galatasaray. Lazio need to win 1-0 to win the group.

Marseille wasted a lot of chances both in the first half and in the second against Galatasaray.
