The WWE Hall of Fame is the elite club in sports entertainment. The best league. With his World Championship, bank deposit and Royal Rumble victories, some might argue that Alberto Del Rio deserves the prestigious ring.
That said, he has yet to win the favor of public opinion. His ex-girlfriend accused him of sexual assault in May 2020. Although all charges are dropped in 2021, Del Rio believes there is still a segment of people who do not want to see the truth.
In an exclusive interview with Sportskeeda Wrestling, Del Rio elaborated on what might have prevented him from being inducted into the Hall of Fame:
“People need to stop being stubborn or ignorant. If you want to see the truth, it’s there. Not just what I said, but the most important investigative agency in America is telling you that this guy never did anything. This Just a man, terrible people who affected his life. That’s all. Leave him alone. So, one day I’ll be there.” (02:57 – 03:36)
Alberto Del Rio then went into detail about possible WWE Hall of Fame inductees. As a family-oriented person, Del Rio wants those close by his side when he goes in:
“I would love to be there, walk into the set, pick up the mic, from the top, look at my dad, mom, my beautiful kids, my girlfriend, my family, and finally end this amazing career with me The name is on the stars with the legend of our sport. I know one day it will happen. Of course, the decision is not mine. But I know that one day I will get my justice.” (03:45 – 04:17)

Is Alberto Del Rio worthy of the WWE Hall of Fame because of his achievements?
Alberto Del Rio has won the WWE Championship twice and the World Heavyweight Championship twice. As mentioned, he also won the Royal Rumble and Money in the Bank contracts. On top of that, he is a two-time WWE USA Champion.
Del Rio’s honor is undeniable, but his potential entry may ultimately depend on how many bridges are burned. If things do get sorted out in due time, there’s no doubt that Del Rio could be a member of the prestigious WWE Hall of Fame.
