ITC said that it is developing a nasal spray for the prevention of Kovid-19. ITC on Thursday confirmed that clinical trials have started for this. Developed by scientists at ITC Life Sciences and Technology Center (LSTC) in Bangalore. After obtaining all the necessary regulatory approvals, the company plans to market the nozzle spray under the Savlon brand. “We are unable to share full details because the nasal spray is currently undergoing clinical trials.” ITC spokesperson said.
“Where the clinical trial is taking place. Where production takes place after approval. A spokesperson declined to comment on which brand the nozzle spray will be sold with. However, approval has been received from the ethics committees for clinical trials. The clinical trial to this extent has been registered with the Registry-India (CTRI), sources said. It is said that this spray works effectively in preventing the spread of corona. However, apart from spray, other covid rules will have to be followed.
