This is the perfect time to relax, lay back and catch up on the many new web series and movies that are releasing on various OTT platforms this weekend. From Shefali Shah and Vidya Balan’s thriller Jalsa, to Jaideep Ahlawat and Mohd Zeeshan Ayyub’s new drama Blood Brothers – there’s a lot to watch.

1. Jalsa (Amazon Prime Video)
Jalsa marks the first collaboration between two powerhouse actors, Shefali Shah and Vidya Balan. With Suresh Triveni at the helm, the film tells the story of two mothers, Rukhsana (Shefali) and Maya Menon (Vidya), and their tryst with the truth on a fateful night. Jalsa is supported by T-Series and Abudantia Entertainment, and streams on Amazon Prime Video.
2. Apharan 2 (vote)
Santosh Singh is back Appalan 2, a desi spy thriller with lots of drama and action. The 11-episode web series features Arunoday Singh, Nidhi Singh, Snehil Mehra and Saanand Verma in key roles. Created by Ekta Kapoor and Shobha Kapoor and produced by Jio Studios and Tanveer Bookwala, Apharan 2 follows senior inspector Rudra Shrivastav (Arunoday) on a covert mission to Serbia to hunt down a wanted criminal in exchange for medical treatment. His addict wife Ranjana (Nidhi). Apharan 2 is playing on Voot.
3. Bloody Brothers (Zee5)
bloody brothers is a new product from Zee5, starring Jaideep Ahlawat and Mohd Zeeshan Ayyub. The six-part web series is produced by Applause Entertainment in association with BBC Studios India and directed by Shaad Ali. The story revolves around the lives of two brothers, Jaggi and Daljeet, how their lives spiral out of control when a tragic accident occurs and mistrust begins to develop between them. The cast also includes Tina Desai, Shruti Seth, Maya Alagh, Mugdha Godse, Satish Kaushik and Jitendra Joshi in key roles.
4. Forever Lost and Longing for Love (Netflix)
Farhan Akhtar, Ritesh Sidhwani, Zoya Akhtar and Reema Kagti join forces with Netflix to bring us a drama called “Young Adult Drama” Always lost and longing for love. The show is written and directed by Rahul Nair with key roles from Vihaan Samat, Rahul Bose and Suchitra Pillai. Jim Sarbh, Dalai and Ankur Rathee also appear in the series. The story follows the life of 24-year-old Ray, who takes several wrong turns in his quest to find true love. The series, produced by Excel Entertainment and Tiger Baby Films, is streaming on Netflix.
