Now Jonathan and Antonsen will meet again at the Indonesia Open 2021. This is the ninth time that two badminton players have faced each other.
But not many know that Jonathan and Antonsen are like stage fright when they play at home. This is not a figment, because every time Jojo plays in Indonesia against a Danish player, he always loses.

On the other hand, when Jojo played in Denmark (Thomas Cup 2020), Jojo actually won. Interestingly, he defeated his mortal enemy in his hometown of Aarhus.

“Every game in Indonesia I lose, every game in Denmark I win. Maybe I’m Danish, he’s Indonesian, “joked Jonatan to the media, Friday (26/11/2021).
Jonatan further said that the joke was just a myth. Therefore, Jojo wants to perform optimally and focus on facing Antonsen in order to win while at the same time breaking the record of Antonsen who always wins from Jojo every time he plays in Indonesia.
“No, it’s just a suggestion. I try as much as possible. How do you focus first? Don’t think about the last meeting and don’t think too far ahead. Just think about point by point,” concluded Jonathan.
