Currently, the biggest hope for Indonesia’s men’s singles to qualify for the BWF World Tour Finals 2021 is on Shesar’s shoulders.

However, the 27-year-old has a big burden. Because, he must at least penetrate the semifinals of the Indonesia Open 2021 if he wants to perform at this prestigious event. This is because he is currently in 13th place.

So far, Shesar’s hope is still awake. The player who is familiarly called Vito has already qualified for the second round of the Indonesia Open 2021 after defeating Sittikhom Thammasin (Thailand) in the first round with a score of 21-12, 15-21, and 21-16.

Even so, Shesar was reluctant to be burdened with the high hopes set on him. Shesar said he wanted to play enjoy and focus gradually.

Of course the semifinal results will be good for him, not only the results at the Indonesia Open but also the determinant of qualification for the 2021 World Tour Finals.

“If it’s a burden, yes, because I don’t think too much about having to participate (World Tour Finals). I mean just enjoy it,” said Shesar to the media crew at the Bali International Convention Center.

“If the results are good here, you can enter the semifinals, thank God, you can participate. Just don’t think about the World Tour Finals first, just think about the Indonesia Open from me. Focus here first,” he added.
