Captain Sonny Bradley equalised on Monday as Luton drew 1-1 with Huddersfield in the first leg of their Championship play-off semi-final.
After a better start at home, the Hats took a hit in the 12th minute, as Daniel Sinani’s clever finish beat Matt Ingram at the near post.
But in a game where both sides were so strong from set-pieces, it was no surprise when Luton equalised from a free-kick, swept into the box by Harry Konik and sent strong from close range by the captain.
Both sides could have won a penalty in the first half and Rob Jones’ decision to ignore a clear trip to Cameron Jerome before the break highlighted their progress since the equaliser.
They were unable to maintain the momentum after half-time as Huddersfield started to fight for control. The Hounds continued to look stronger throughout the half, but couldn’t find a way to trouble Ingram, setting up an all-or-nothing second leg in Monday night’s return in West Yorkshire, continuing live sky sports.
