Scorpio Sky retains TNT title at AEW Rampage, attacks former partner after game

Defending TNT champion Scorpio Sky takes on Frankie Kazarian at AEW Rampage this week.

The two stars have been part of the label team in the past, and their team is known as SCU (SoCal Uncensored). Among other accomplishments, the pair became the inaugural AEW World Tag Team Champions in 2019. By the end of 2021, though, the SCU was disbanded, and their last game was a loss to the young Bucks.

Scorpio Sky proved he’s a man of his word as he gave Kazarian the promised title this week. A tough game ensued, with two former teammates fighting for the win.

Dan Lambert and Ethan Page interfered, causing Kazarian to lose. Eason forced the champions to choose a side when the Scorpio faced Man of the Year after the game. This caused Scorpio to turn to his old teammates and start a knockout against Kazarian.

Dan Lambert also called out Sammy Guevara and Ty Conti, who were sitting in the audience. They quickly burst into the ring with a steel chair.

After the show went off the air, the couple were seen staring at Man of the Year. Fans will have to keep watching to see if the Spanish gods will try again in the future to challenge for the TNT title.

Scorpio Sky recently praised fellow AEW star Sammy Guevara

While the two stars competed fiercely on screen, the defending TNT champion had high praise for Sami Guevara.

The feud between the Spanish god and the Scorpio sky has led to a lot of back and forth headline changes over the past few months. In addition to their heated arguments, the two often exchange heated remarks on social media.

in an interview Fall with Renee and MishaScorpio stepped out of his screen role to praise the former TNT champion.

“Sammy Guevara is an incredible performer besides competition. He always goes out and puts on a great show for the fans and he doesn’t care about his body. He Always trying to outdo himself. He’s the kind of guy you want to play against in a ladder match, especially since his main focus is always crashing and burning.” [H/T]

While Scorpio Sky’s feud with Sammy Guevara has given fans a few games, it doesn’t seem like the battle is over. Only time will tell what the future holds for these AEW stars.
