The impact of the incident, the audience had to pass through the muddy ground. During the day, the surface around the stands is very dry and covered with sand.
However, as soon as the rain came, the surface became muddy. One of the spectators who came, Hady Rasikhun, complained about the conditions around the stands which were like rice fields.
“The surface is so muddy. It’s like a cow working on a field,” Hady told MNC Portal Indonesia.
Even so, Hady, who came from Mataram City, was still happy with the race in the city Mandalika Circuit . Understandably, this is the first international event to come to the Mandalika Circuit.
“I’m glad I had this event. When else will there be a race like this here,” he said.
Regarding the conditions after the heavy rain, fortunately the surface around the paddock and the team’s garage was covered with concrete. Thus, racing participants do not have to face the muddy ground as experienced by the audience.
Even so, the track workers also have to work hard. They help get the water out of the team’s garage, so the puddles don’t creep in.
