HackCamp, which manages hackathons and ideathons, is a part of the “Geospatial Hackers” project commissioned by the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications, “Contracting research on a human resources development program to expand the base of human resources who can utilize geospatial information in the 3rd year of Reiwa.” “Program 2021” will be held online (free of charge).

This is a training program aimed at fostering leaders of “geodata information,” a technology that visualizes useful data such as disaster prevention, tourism, and regional revitalization. There are “Beginner Course” for those who have no programming experience such as local government employees, NPOs, citizen groups, and students, and “Engineer Course” for those who have programming experience. Practical learning is conducted online using video teaching materials, but the specific flow is for self-study using videos (preparation for hands-on training), hands-on training by geospatial engineers, and service prototype creation. It is a practical training of.

The instructors will be Sakiko Kamihara, a specially appointed professor (beginner course) of Kochi Prefectural University, and the Shizuoka Prefecture Construction Policy Division team (engineer course), who are experts who actually participated in disaster relief. In fact, the team will develop a service that will help solve problems in the disaster area on the assumption that a disaster has occurred in the neighboring prefecture, and excellent ideas will be commended on Demo Day.
