Dramatic footage emerged this week showing a Ukrainian woman allegedly serving as a spy for Russia being detained by Ukrainian troops in her small village.
According to The Sun, Ukrainian special forces joined intelligence agents when they raided a town near Kharkiv and arrested Nadia Antonova.
Local council secretary Antonova is accused of handing over the names of soldiers, police officers and counterterrorism experts while Russia was in power, the report said.
She also revealed the names of others familiar with the terrain and area.
In the video, heavily armed troops can be seen surrounding the woman, in her 60s, and showing her documents before dragging her away.
“Traitor! Do you think you found a traitor?” Antonova shouted when he was arrested. “You’re so shameless. I’ve been here all the time. How do you think we live here?”
The village in rural Kharkiv was recently liberated by Ukrainian forces after being occupied by Moscow during the initial invasion.
Ukrainians have launched a nationwide crackdown on those accused of helping Russian President Vladimir Putin’s “special military operation” in the country.
